This is a pre-announcement, an infowar tactic I've now seen a couple of times

Pre-announcements are when you allude to everyone that an announcement is about to be made.

This second order reveal gives both a deniability buffer as well as the authoritative source by name dropping someone important.

Watch this: "BREAKING: Ron DeSantis set to announce criminal idictments for school board officals pushing CRT."

Name drops desantis ( hmm... he knows his shit)
"Set to announce" (big news coming oh boy)

While I just made that up it manipulates peoples thoughts. I would make this headline if I wanted to cause some panic in the school boards.

Lost my train of thought, but to sum up I never beleive pre-announcements.
