Lets say for kicks and grins at $2/per gallon there is $0.50 tax. Now, when the price per gallon rises to $4/per gallon then that tax rises to $1.00. The same amount of gas is being used now as when it was two bucks a gallon but there is now twice the amount of taxes being collected. What is happening to that tax money? Being refunded to citizens or being used to keep us poorer? I say the latter. Taxes are a scam to keep the middle class poor. But I feel that will come to an end one day. God willing.
