Differing points of view is the best way for a person to expand their world view and see new perspectives.
I actually think most people hold a tremendous number of shared values. Most people try to do what's right, most care deeply about their families, many care about their communities, many want to leave a positive mark and leave a good legacy behind for those who knew them. There are likely many more types of things all people share in common. Some more and some less than others.
We live in a world of dichotomies where we are often presented just two choices. Yes or no. Left or right. Democrat or Republican. Blue pill or red pill. On and on.
I think this is due in large part because it is easier to control people by presenting them with just two choices. It's one of the secrets to creating Division.
We can see this in the extreme with politics and how the MSM and Big Tech push people into one side or the other.
For example, some parents weren't happy with the things being taught to their children in schools so they went to the school board meeting to share their grievances.
What happened? They were classified as Domestic Violent Extremists or DVEs and the DOJ expressed as much. That's just crazy. Why can't parents share their perspective at a school board meeting? That's the venue to do it.
That's just one example, but my point is that it is an expression of the dichotomy. The media and people in power don't want middle ground or common sense solutions, they want extreme binary choices.
My great epiphany in 2016 was when I followed the primaries. While Bernie had a sizeable following and lots of momentum, the DNC machine shut him down and positioned Hillary as their candidate.
When I first heard Trump speak I was thinking, "Who the hell is this guy? He is rough and ragged and nothing like a typical politician." Then I saw the RNC trying to do the same thing to Trump that the DNC did to Bernie and I started thinking, something is off. Something doesn't seem right. I knew Trump had massive support but I saw firsthand how the RNC was trying to stop him any way they could.
This really opened my eyes at the time. When I noticed that no other Republican president or nominee for president (except Bob Dole) attended the Republican convention, and even the host state governor of Ohio, John Kasich, refused to attend, I realized that the DNC and RNC are just two big clubs and they don't want outsiders or the People to have a voice.
I voted for Trump because I wanted to tear down the establishment. We have gone back and forth between the two parties for decades and our nation has only gone down hill.
Once Trump was in office and started implementing America First policies, as opposed to globalist policies, I witnessed the RNC and DNC colluding together to stop him from doing so.
This is when I realized we have had a false dichotomy in politics and had been living in this fantasy world for decades. I realized their is no such thing as Left vs Right, or Democrats vs Republicans.
We have truly become a nation of US vs Them.
This was confirmed even further when DC passed a covid relief bill and only sent 9% of the money back to the people paying the taxes to fund it. Much of the money went oversees and I assume once it was washed, came right back to DC elite's private LLCs and bank accounts. It's just one big money laundering operation in DC.
When I say it's US vs Them I am including you, me, and people from all perspectives, that believe it's time for We The People to take back control of our country. I think we can do a better job of it. For us to do so, both the DNC and RNC must be destroyed. They only serve themselves and their funders and they do not serve us.
Thanks again for your contributions. I'm going to keep a look out for more and do my best to learn from your perspective. Thanks for being here.
