Prediction: As part of the acquisition, there’ll be a due diligence, in which Elon Musk will audit the fake users. The audit will show Twitter users and engagement numbers are inflated with bots… by a lot. That will trigger a lawsuit on Twitter manipulating numbers for higher valuation. That’s a financial crime, and the SEC will be involved. The responsible for the inflated stock price will be sued, possibly arrested, for fraud (Jack, Parag, board of directors, CFO, other top execs, tech leads responsible for the manipulation algorithms). The audit will also reveal government involvement in directing those censoring actions (1st Amendment violation), illegal surveillance (4th Amendment violation), and electoral manipulation. Twitter stock will tank, and Elon may be entitled to a discount (write off). It might be cheap enough for DWAC to buy and incorporate the assets. Mostly my speculation, but I think a write off due to inflated numbers is likely.
Prediction: Elon will get a discount
👀 EYES ON! 👀
Do you mean a tax write off due to business losses? And then sell his shares to dwac?
I'm trying to follow you, but I'm a little confused by the wording
Scenario: So due to my due diligence, I found that you lied about manipulating the algo. I also found that you grossly over-stated the sub count.
So now I am rescinding my offer because my offer was based upon conditions I have found to not exist. And, when I walk, your stock is going to tank to near zero. Or, you can accept my revised offer, which is now $8Bn.
Then buy it for $8Bn, and if you like, turn around and sell it to DWAC for $1, or merge with DWAC, or merge with Torba/Gab, etc.
It's not about the money. It's about Justice.
Gotcha...
Sidenote, torba is a 🤡
He seems to be doing a good impression of a conservative Christian.
But 1. I haven't gone deep on him in any way, and 2. I am always a skeptical sort....
Remember, a social media platform is worth money depending on how many human beings are on it. That's so merchants can sell ads to the humans. Bots don't read ads and buy stuff.
No, this is like showing a buyer a picture of your pasture that has 100 cows in it.
The buyer offers you a good price for the pasture with 100 cows. You take the money and run.
Then the buyer arrives and finds out that of the 100 cows, only 12 were real and the rest were cardboard cutouts. You lied about how many cows you really had and massively cheated the buyer.
That's what Twitter did to Elon. Instead of cows made of cardboard, they had users made of bytes. Totally fake in both cases.
Must be why the bots immediately got turned off.
Still might not be enough for twitter to maintain its value
