Depends where Musk got the money, he isn't financing it, I heard JPMorgan in for 20B, but there will be others. Until I hear otherwise "taking it private" means buying the evidence to bury it.

Morgan Stanley not JPM.

Musk doesn’t have his net worth in cash, it’s all in Tesla/SpaceX/crypto. So most all large purchases he (or other wealthy like him) makes are using loans with stock as collateral. I think in this case, half was in cash and half were loans.
