Let the schools use their endowments to guarantee the debt versus us tax payers.

why don't we make a high school diploma great again and let apprenticeships create skills mastery from there?
IMO...college was popularized by the cabal as a way to district people into staying children until they are 25
The high school I went to is now (or at least I think they're still doing it) requiring students to have "majors" or be a program that focuses on certain subjects, and your classes will be centered around your major, similar to college. From my understanding, it gets students to start focusing on careers and preparing them them for those careers.
Wish they had that when I was still going there or else I wouldn't have dropped out, that place sucked.
by the time I went to high school, it had already been ruined. it was far too easy and full of too much useless information. let's learn about dinosaurs and dna instead of how to fix a car, handle family finances, and grow food. I ask my parents and grandparents and they all learned all kinds of practical information before graduating. One of my grandparents only went through 8th grade and had learned as much or more practical information as today's high school
Exactly, you're distracted long enough you may miss out on children, family, etc... or at least delay them so the eventual family sizes get reduced. Also a way of taking money back from your middle and upper class.
It's been so long since I have seen someone espousing common sense, I forgot what it looked like.
This debt was made with fake money. So paying g it isn't going to cost us shit. The banks that loaned it get to eat the losses as they should. No federal guarantees to help the lenders. They lose for being greedy duplicitous fucks.
I dont even have a loan and I want it wiped. All debt to the deep state should be wiped.
I've been saying this for years. Make colleges and universities co-sign the loans and giant loans for useless degrees will instantly vanish then only those who can pay in cash can pursue vanity degrees.
Besides the fact that not everyone is college person. Neither of my kids were college people. They both dropped out of high school, got GED's and attended Vo Tech school. I was a college person and they worried it would upset me lol. Nope - you are you, not me. They both earn a very decent yearly income now.
If ever was a need for a sticky.
That's where all of the ill-gotten, hiked up tuition revenues went to.
Better yet, clawback all university endowments in excess of $500 Million to turbo the non-performing student debt and release these people from their debt slavery. You could wipe out the bottom ten percent of the entire chunk of student debt just with Harvard, Yale and Stanford alone (combined $100B in endowments)
I would rather have my countrymen free of non-dischargeable debt that is a millstone around their purchasing power than to have them "honor their contract" with evil people.
"Laptop class" - what a divisive little term of propagandist art that is. Work done on a laptop is still work.
Tack on methods to prevent students from abusing the debt clear, and you're all set in my book.
Make it such that a student cannot file for debt discharge if they successfully secured a job for a period of a couple months in their chosen field of study.
I like it.
As a 28yo who fell for this scheme, also incentivize schools to push trades rather than universities. At the very least to push CC over universities
