Seriously guys, I'm really getting sick of this. Yes, it's important to learn how to research, but remember when they invented the calculator and the teacher kept telling you how important it was to learn to do it on paper, and yet...there's a fucking calculator?
This place is our calculator. Nobody is going to take anyone else's words at face value, true. And we shouldn't. But the truth is not everyone knows what everyone else knows and we're not going to learn what everyone knows if we keep sticking our noses in the air and saying "look it up yourself."
You looked it up apparently, do us all a favor and show us where you looked. It will help get us all where we need to be a hell of a lot faster.
I understand we all place our feet on the road at different times and places.
I'm extremely tolerant of beginners....but for those who say
"what does it say" because they're too lazy to read an article I will refer them to the article.
2 hour video?...I want a time marker for the spot the relevant info is at in the video.
24 page document? Point to the page[s] the info can be found on.
Agreed wholeheartedly that people need to actually USE the info people have, and get to work if someone doesn't know the answer to something, but when someone claims they DO have the answer to something, and refuses to provide a fellow pede with the info, give me a break. We can do better than that.
Oooooh look some newfag trying to tell me how to Q.
Fuck off. You're apparently too fucking new to KNOW that the WHOLE Q THING IS...
SPECIFICALLY...
RESEARCH IT YOURSELF!
That is why Q posts are CODED...
FOR ABSOLUTE FUCK SAKE YOU POSEUR.
The ENTIRE FUCKING POINT IS... YOU DO NOT GET FED ONE PERSON'S PROPAGANDA WHEN YOU RESEARCH IT YOUR FUCKING SELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bruh,
Chill
You aren't getting fed 1 person's propaganda. They ask you for proof of X and you provide that proof. Sometimes you could find a great article that summarizes your research in a dig. The point of research it yourself is not to hide that article (or rather, leave it hidden), but to bring it to people's attention.
If people decide to believe it at face value, that's their own choice, if they decide they want to dig more into it, that is also their choice. Without knowledge of its existence, how could they dig. Must they dig for evidence in the same way you did to find it? Maybe you do it one way and they do it another way.
Maybe they're just lazy. In the end, it's not man's job to judge the heart, it is God's.
P.S. I neither updooted, nor downdooted (for reference), just trying to give you my .02
Reading the comments below, a lot of people are blaming laziness as the reason for people not wanting to do their own research.
I think the biggest issue is a lot of people are simply too busy and wore out by the end of the day. For myself, after I finish a long day at work, spend time with my family, do chores and so on. Most evenings I only get 15 -30mins max screen time. I sometimes only want a brief overview of the days happenings. I have no interest in watching a 2 hour video, no matter what the topic
And I have no interest in rolling it all up for you. Maybe hire a personal assistant, if you're so pre-occupied. Operative word being, "hire".
