Jesus, You delivered me to this point. There is no reason for me to give up and disobey You now.
The Lord longs to heal you. This post is a prayer for your healing. Read it, Pray it, Check the Scriptures, Talk to God, Believe Him, and Obey Him!
I take authority of all influential spirits that do not willing profess Jesus Christ is God and do not obey Him. You are to be silent in Jesus Name. You are not to flee, hide, nor distract any reader of this post in Jesus Name! Be bound by the Power of the Holy Spirit. Now! Obey. Thank you Lord.
Headaches stop, Stomach pains ease, Fear disperse, Doubt begone. Now! Holy Spirit, Arise, Fill that room, car, house, hospital bed, work place with your Presence. Bring your Peace over each individual reading this post! May your Glory Magnify over ALL who hear of Your Wonderful Word!
Now that I have your attention, and distractions have been set aside. I cannot explain why I am writing this post. I can only tell you that I feel like I am supposed. I have been on Inactive Side of Obedience for too long, I do not know what is on the other side of Obedience. I must be obedient to find out.
Jesus Christ has died, and risen from the Grave in a Glorified state, now He sits on the Right hand of the Father. He sent the Holy Spirit to all Believers as a Promise Note! (You do not have to wait till Heaven to find out. Believers Find out right away! It's not unwarranted hope it is a Spiritual Ticket.) (Ephesians 1:20-21)
Let me be clear, for the Apologists here, I believe Jesus is everything stated in Colossians starting at verse 1:15
Now with all that stated, Jesus Christ was given all Authority in Heaven and in Earth. (Matthew 28:18, Ephesians 1:20-21, Colossians 2:13-15) The powers over everything are HIS. All angels, Archangels, Cherubim, Seraphim, Living Creatures, Principalities, Rulers, Laws, must obey Jesus Christ. That includes the fallen ones as well.
Jesus gave commands to go and Heal. Not if you feel like healing, nor if you* like the person*. He commanded, "Go and heal the sick and proclaim the Kingdom of God is near. (Luke 10:9). He gave this commandment to the 12 Disciples AND THE 72 followers. He also addressed in the Great Commission! "Go out and Make Disciples of ALL the NATIONS." (Mathew 28). Peter was in for a rude awakening in Acts 10 and 11. He was given a vision to go and bring forth the Goodnews to the Gentiles...and guess what? The HOLY SPIRIT fell on them. That's right. Peter had closed his heart Non-Jews and Jesus commanded him to go and Heal and Bring the Good News. GOD wants to USE you to Heal others! He is going to do that work. Just be willing.
James 5:14 Further clarifies this. "Is anyone among you sick? Call the Elders so that they should lay hands on them. As a believer there is an expectation that HEALING comes from the Lord! Jesus wants to use you. Jesus wants to heal you, Jesus wants to use you to heal others.
Don't you know that you are so welcomed inside the Throne room of God? Hebrews 4:16. "Let us lay every weight and sin aside and BOLDLY approach the Throne of Grace that we may ask for Mercy in times of need.
LET THAT SINK IN. The Throne in Heaven. Never heard of it? Read Isaiah 6 and Revelations 4. There are Giant Pillars, Angels, Living Creatures, Seraphim, Heavenly Host, Saints and much more there Worshiping and Giving Glory to God. And YOU are welcomed. Imagine that. Every Living being is there worshiping and YOU open that door Boldly and everything stops turns and looks at you as you enter, and **The One Seated on the Throne **smiles and call you by name and says "Welcome Child". Yes, that's who you are, wanted, adopted, given the same Authority that was Given to Jesus.
Okay, I'm going to continue. however, I highly recommend that you spend some time imagining you interrupting the Throne Room as an invited guest (Read: Child).
John 10:10 makes clear that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ comes to give Life and Give life Abundantly. That's where we are going to rest, well up, rebuke, bind, and pray! Your health, blessings, peace, mental state and much more are targets that desired to be stolen, killed, and destroyed. Jesus desires to Give Life! The darkness cannot overcome the Light. The darkness must Obey the Light! The Darkness must submit to Jesus!
Now, I am going to pray, Using the Authority of Christ for your Healing.
Proverbs 18:21 "The tongue has the power of life and death..." I have spoken death far too much in my life, Now, I choose to Speak Life, Speak Jesus, Speak Healing to you!
Lord Jesus, Thank you. Thank you for all the moments that has led us to here. This message board. This moment where we are reading and praying. Thank you for the hard times, the tough moments, the pain we've encountered. The joyous moments, the happy times, and the sad times. We are Now giving every moment to you. All of our cares are before at your feet, at your throne.
All pain, all sickness, all disease, all hurt, all broken hearts, all memories, all burdens, all cares good and bad, all worries... and all other baggage that we are carrying. I carry their burdens with them to Your Throne. All heavenly beings witness everything we bring to you as we set aside for your presence.
In This moment, I bind all powers, spirits, thoughts, moments, memories, distractions, pain, illnesses, fear, worry, and doubt. In Jesus Name. Holy Spirit rope them all up, and put them in a box under your authority and power. There is work to be done and their distractions are getting in the way of Your Miracle. Of the work you want to do!
Holy Spirit, I invite you here to this prayer.. to my words, mind, and heart. Bring forth the hurt, physical pain, and infirmities in my brother and sisters. In the readers. Let them witness your power, let them witness your Glory, Let them witness your presence, Let them feel your warming touch over their disease! Right now! In Jesus Name! Spirit of infirmity you are no longer welcome! Begone. Now! All biological organisms, all bacteria, all parasites, foreign inhabitants that harm the body. You are no longer welcomed! Begone. Now! You will die off, Wither, and be expelled from the body!
I speak to all cancerous cells, growths, confused DNA, and all other disobedient body parts. Come into alignment under the Authority of Christ. Now! Confusion correct yourself. Cancer no longer reproduce. Be corrected in Jesus name! Healing come forth! Cells no longer will you reproduce in harmful manners you will obey the function that Jesus Christ created you for! Realign with His Will. Now! I command you to Obey the intent Jesus Christ created you for! Remind them Holy Spirit, how to operate and function. Move these cells to your will. Arise your warming touch over all these body parts.
Holy Spirit, fill these people with your life! Let them feel your chilling presence! Let them feel your glory! Fill these bodies with your Glory! Fill them with Life! That Living Water! The Abundant life you have created them for!
Remind them of their purpose! Remind them, that this Healing for them, but not just for them! It is for other as well! Remind them of your will, your commandments, your eagerness to Heal all!
Lord, Bless them! Bless them with your love. Bless them with your Peace! Bless them with your Strength. Bless them with your Wisdom! Bless them with your Heart! Bless them to see others the way YOU see them! Bless with Boldness! Boldness to pray, preach, and obey you!
Jesus, it is with your Love, your authority, your heart, your will, I pray. Amen.
Thank you...it's been a rough week!
I am struggling with my faith. I genuinely would like some help in understanding the following. We have been told that Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead after his crucifixion. Why has no one, that I know of, ever mentioned that the Romans, or followers of Jesus who may have wanted everyone to think he rose from the dead, that those men could have moved the stone from the entrance to his tomb, at night when no one was around to see, and removed his body to another location. And the last thing the Romans would want was for his tomb to be a place of worship by his followers.
No means, motive, or opportunity. Anyone who wanted to raid the tomb would have been guilty of breaking the royal seal placed on the stone, which was knowably punishable by death. Since Rome also placed the guard with the express purpose of not disturbing the tomb so that no false narratives would arise around it, they would have no interest in creating their own false narrative when it could easily feed a greater narrative proposed by the apostles. Further, the tomb was broken open during the three days the guards were on watch and many visitors (at least seven named ones) were paying respects, so there was no chance to secrete the body before the women discovered the guards in total fear of some inexplicable circumstance.
If Rome had the body, nothing would have been simpler to quell the uprising than to produce the body. Instead, the false narrative they did propose was that the guards were asleep (also punishable by death, which is why they had to bribe the guards to perjure themselves).
Thank you.
Hmm. I like that inquiry. Awesome that you spoke up. So I want to understand your point of struggle clearly. Are you asking, how do we know someone (Roman or Disciples) did not move away the tombstone, and hide Jesus?
Sure let’s talk about that. Now I have a few questions for you, because it will help me better construct clearer feedback. Would you mind answering the following the best that you can?
How familiar are you with the Gospels? Have you read all four?
Do you regularly read the Bible? If so, which portions?
What is your prayer life like? Frequency and subjects you pray about?
Do you have any anger directed at God or authority figures for anything?
If you could answer those, I can help you a bit better. Now let me try to answer the topic at hand. It would be best to continue asking questions and keep up the Dialogue until you feel satisfied.
Now, the Gospels speak of the Resurrection. Everyone adds a piece to the Story. The end of Matthew and Mark mention that an Angel of the Lord is sent to women who went to the tomb. The Romans soldiers were under orders to watch the tomb for the very reason you suggest. Jesus was a wanted man. Now the Angel gives unto an account of how this happens. The women where there to clothes Jesus in oils and spices to preserve the body. The Jewish tradition had a custom where they waited three days, before they added oils and spices for their decomposition ritual. They were a belief that the soul lasted in a body for three days. Remember the story of Lazarus? Was 4 days and his relatives were upset it was passed the 3 day period etc. The point is the women went to pay their respects to the body. And the tomb was empty.
Okay great, now you are at your conclusion. The conspirators took it!
But the Gospels continue and provide stories of Jesus Glorified, Risen, speaking to disciples. We have Jesus passing thru walls (John), and Jesus being touched by Thomas (John 21). There were many accounts that saw Jesus, Risen in His Glorified state. Recorded in the Gospels.
Read Luke. Luke was a Doctor at the time, and learned a lot of information from personal testimonies. He was not around Jesus at all, but we have such detailed accounts. He was respected at the time as a smart man/ notetaker because of His profession. Luke is very attentive to detail.
I recommend spend time reading the accounts recorded in the Gospels. It will paint the story for you better.
Now if your question “how can we know that the Gospels are Trustworthy” then that requires another set of answers.
I am so grateful and thank you for taking the time to address my comment. I will answer your questions.
I am totally unfamiliar with the Bible.
As Catholics it was my understanding that we were not good enough to have a Bible in the home, only the Priest was. I was always perplexed that my Protestant friends had Bibles at home, but we Catholics, who we were told were better Christians than Protestants, could not have one. I was raised strict Catholic and left the church when I turned 16 and walked away from religion. The Church instilled such fear in children/me and I left as soon as I could.
I do pray and even though I don’t know if there is God, I live my life as if there is God. I do appreciate the values that my religion taught me, basically the 10 Commandments.
I do not have any anger towards God. I do have anger at the Catholic Church for the absolute fear they instilled in me as a child. I also have anger in me towards the corrupt police and corrupt judicial system and corrupt politicians. Lest you think I go around being angry all day, I don’t. I am grateful for every day that I wake up, love my life despite a few struggles countered by magnificent experiences. I love and am loved.
Part of me thinks the Bible stories were handed down from other religions, tales around desert campfires, and hallucinations from gaseous fumes from the earth. I also have great difficulty with the concept of “worship” and “faith”.
I always try to do the right thing but am not perfect. If there is God he knows that I have searched for this answer all my life.
Again, thank you. It was very interesting that you told me about the Roman soldiers guarding the tomb. I guess I so jaded by fake news that I don’t know what to believe anymore.
I am so glad you replied! Thank you for being so honest with your answer. I am going to work on replying to you in a better and longer message to continue out discussion.
It’s late and I am on my phone. I tried typing a message before and I lost all progress because my phone refreshed the page. I’m going to keep what you said in prayer and reply to it tomorrow.
May you experience a Peace today that makes this day feel lighter and better than any day so far. Amen.
Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
Hello again! As I said earlier, I am so glad you replied with thorough honesty.
First I just want to say, We agree! I can't stand religion also! I am someone who has been burnt by man-made cultures, rules and laws as well. Being honest, not every church or believer is like the ones you've encountered. It's hard at first to find genuine believers because true faith is so foreign to the social world. One thing I can say through my experience and from experience of what I've seen from people around me. Christ Transforms People. It is a heart issue.
Now with that said, The Bible doesn't teach us to follow laws, and chant sayings, and perform deeds. That type of faith is dead. The Bible teaches us about Jesus Christ. It teaches us about Love. True Love. The Love that God has for You. He broke the barriers of Heaven, Earth, and Hell to restore a connection with you, u/mooseface2.
Think about it like this. 2 Corinthians 3 has a famous section where we get the verses "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, There is Freedom." Awesome! Just think about that. Freedom! Not Slavery. Free Choice, not Compulsion. Free Will, not Determinism. That same section in Corinthians compares two ways of life. The Law and the Spirit. The Law is everything that Moses gave the People of Israel. He gave them the rules to follow in order to be Holy. In order to Follow God. Not a single person was able to completely follow that. Everything person that was ever alive fell short and failed to be blameless before God. Except One.
Romans 6:23 states that "the Wages of Sin is death, but the God give the Gift of everlasting Life through Jesus Christ." WOW. Let's think about that for a second. The first part. Every sin equals death before the Lord. God is a righteous Judge. He makes sure all injustices will be corrected. Every sin must be paid for. Every single one. In God's Eyes, there is no difference of sin. Did you break the law? Yes? Then there must be a penalty paid. (Now we can't properly argue that punishments vary more beyond that because they happen after death and judgement.) But we know for certain. God will cast out all those with sin.
Think about this way. A person can tell the truth 10,000 times, but the moment they tell a single lie... they become a liar. Sin is like that. You can do the correct thing 10,000 times but one sin makes you a sinner. In all honesty. I am a sinner. I big one, God has made me aware of so much Sin in my life, there was nothing I can do about it. But this does not mean life is Hopeless.
The second part of that verse gives us that hope! God has given you a free gift. How do you take a gift? Think about it. There is a gift with your name on it on a take. How do you make it yours? You have to grab it! Every single person has to make the choice to pick up the gift. Every one of us. The gift is salvation. Redemption of Sins. The ability to commune with God.
Jesus is always waiting and looking for us to pick up that gift. Revelations 3:20 quotes Jesus saying this. "Behold, I stand at the door and Knock. All who hears my voice and lets me in. I will come in and Dine with them and they will dine with me." Wow. Another amazing one. Have you ever imagined that YOU can dine with God? What would that even be like... Imagine a big table with placeholder ingrained with my name right next to Jesus and all my relatives. All of them being so excited and merry, and happy to be there, and happy to see me there. Jesus is knocking on your door. He knocked at my door. When I am going through a season of stubbornness, sometimes I'm hearing knocking louder.
Based on your replies, and background, I'm going to ask. Have you ever opened the door? Have you ever Let Jesus in and dined with him? I'm not talking about taking communion, or going to confession, or doing some other religious practice. I'm talking about walking to the table where Jesus is sitting at saying "Okay Look, I'm here...." Then spilling out your heart to him, troubles, sin and all. He is waiting at the table for you. He was waiting at the table for me. He is always there, anytime, any moment, any place. Wanting to speak to you. Wanting to guide you. Wanting to give you peace. Wanting YOU to take up that gift.
Again, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you have. Great, then I want to encourage you to READ the Bible. That is the Word of God. That is a way God Speaks to us all. He also can speak to us in a lot more ways than you would think.
Now, if you haven't. Well fren, then today I would encourage you to open the door. Let Jesus in, Ask him to come and Dine with you. Walk up to the table with your gift that has your name on it, AND Take it. It's already been paid for, with the Blood of Jesus when He was Crucified.
Please, if you have more questions let me know. I and others would be happy to help. Also if you don't mind. Tell me, what were your emotions reading this?
I felt at peace reading your comment. I acknowledge and prefer to believe that God created the universe. Albert Einstein was unable to say if there is God and he’s a lot more intelligent than me. My difficulty is that God wants us to worship him. Is not living an honourable life good enough for entry into heaven? Heaven is another concept I have difficulty believing. Not one person since the beginning of man has been able to prove the existence of Heaven. All we have are stories from men, told a couple of thousand years ago to probably allie the fears of death. Christianity has very similar entities, miracles, etc. as prior or other religions. As far as Jesus being the son of God, could he not just have been a man/prophet preaching Christianity to the Romans, as others were doing at that time? I have asked God for forgiveness of my sins. Who do I pray to? God or Jesus? As I said previously, I live my life as if there is God. To be saved I must suspend my rational and logical thinking and this is very difficult for me. I do appreciate that you have taken your time to help me figure out these things. Thank you.
/u/slechta5614 u/jtap how would you approach this answer?
u/Mooseface2
Did you know that was the game fear caiaphas had hence the guards being there to begin with?
Similarly to u/OuttaMyAshes said
Quite plainly the bigger question is this:
Do you believe what the Bible says or not? (Not to be crude but this is the bigger question I believe)
If you don't, what impedes that?
Much love to you fren. May God bless you with the Holy Spirit unto wisdom and faith. In Jesus name amen.
Thank you. See my reply below.
Bold question incoming:
If you yourself can see your limited intellect via Einstein whom was just another man like you;
Do you really believe your merits are good enough to please a perfect God?
If the answer is no... then the gospel gives you the answer you seek regarding the necessity for Holiness to enter heaven. You simply aren't Holy enough and neded a substitute to pay for the wrongs you committed. Hence Jesus Christ, whom was perfect and suffered the punishment you deserved, like us all, and offered a chance to accept that gift and walk new in the Holy Spirit to then put to death the things that made you liable for punishment.
If the answer is yes then the gospel of Jesus Christ will never a make sense to you because your own moral code dictates whether you deserve heaven or not.
All this is in love fren.
Your comment reminds me of the Catholic Church tactics. If I’m not good enough to enter heaven then so be it. Thanks for helping me. Time to move on.
Most importantly, I highly recommend reading a Bible. If you're a man of logic you'll appreciate the challenge of reading the KJV and I highly suggest it. Otherwise, again. Be well friend.
My friend. Make no mistake. God isn't waiting for you to be good enough. You won't be. That's what grace is. Giving someone what they don't deserve. The cross of Jesus Christ is free to you. You misunderstand; you do not need to be perfect to be forgiven of your sin and to be born again. You do however need to understand that in order to be forgiven you have to repent (confess and turn from the faults that separate us from God) and turn to Jesus Christ to be forgiven of the sin He paid for us. The transaction does not count if you don't come to Him. Once you have been forgiven you have to then begin the process of sanctification; i.e. you cannot stay as you were because what you were got you in the place you were in to begin with. The hard part of the faith is that you must be willing to admit you needed Jesus Christto begin with. You're free to choose as you will but it does you well in the long run to know that the faith does have requirements of us. (I.e sin no more).
When you're read He will be there, ready and willing, to have you, Moose.
Be well and I pray God the Holy Spirit falls upon you and you see in yourself what He sees. In Jesus name amen.
I really appreciate your boldness to come before the throne. Whenever we are called to pray publicly, we obey. This will bring about healing for many.
We also invite content like this at c/Christianity, although it's true that you get more attention at GAW.
Can you tell me what your username refers to? I'm glad you know some of our contributors, are you enjoying the c/PrayerGarden, or have you used an older name?
Hey. Thanks for the encouragement. The Prayer Garden peeps are super chill, I just don’t have enough time to regularly commit and attend their events. My real life ministries picked up. I try to remember to bring Love and Peace to the online mission fields when I can.
My username has a few figures of speech tied to it. It alludes to a Phoenix, definitely. I had a .win account when it started, but the message history had info that I was afraid of being Doxxed on, so I remade this account because I wanted to still engaged. The rising from the ashes of the old account. Also Phoenix symbolism also has ties to Christianity. Themes of Resurrection, and rebirth very much allude to our Hope of the cross. I remember reading about early Christians circles using the Phoenix as some symbols/evangelical tool connection.
And also there is a pun of ashes. Very much sounds like another word. I very much rely on personal speaking skills/ on the spot adaption for my profession. So there is also that play on the axiom pulling “outta my ***” Lol. Hopefully that doesn’t ward off.
