Pics or it didn't happen. The guardian is not known for its commitment to honesty.
If they are reporting a particular narrative, you can be pretty much assured that it is wrong.
The Guardian is just trash propaganda.

Russkies with Soviet Flags.
Putin isn't bringing back the USSR.
Yeah, thank god. He is certainly trying.
No he isnt
Don't worry about this.
The red flag is used for nostalgic purposes. The Russians use it to remember the victory of WW2 and the great costs associated with it.
I'm sure most Russians, and Ukrainians for that matter, and particularly the older ones, have no illusions about communism.
I am very worried about it. Putin has been very vocal about his opinion that he considers the breakup of the Soviet Union a great catastrophie.
What the fuck is it with people here making light of the reemergence of the fucking Soviet Union?
Is this place a fifth column?
The signs are that Russia want to be a confident and secure sovereign nation which is not globalist or cabal.
Putin is not globlalist (=communist) or a cabal person. He's spent the last 40 or so years getting Russia free of it. That's why the cabal hates him so much. If he were really a communist at heart, then Soros and Schwab would love him.
Currently, Russia is under huge attack by the cabal, and they need to unify psychologically.
The break up of Communism was a good thing, but the opposition between Ukraine and Russia is a bad thing. They have been put in opposition by the cabal and need to recognise that they are to a large extent, family.
So in this way, the break up of the Soviet Union was a catastrophe.
Putin literally said that Ukraine should not exist. He literally said that breaking up the Soviet Union was a grave mistake.
Russia has made more than clear that they do not want Ukraine and its people to exist as independent nations and people. They want everything to be only Russian.
It is really amazing how anyone can make excuses for this.
Probably most Ukrainians, certainly most eastern Ukrainians would rather be a part of Russia. They'd be safer there.
Crimea voted 95% to join Russia and the DPR and LPR have been begging to Join Russia for years.
It doesn't mean they'll be oppressed. The Moslems in Russia for example do not feel oppressed, they just got a giant new mosque in Moscow and many Moslem Chechens are fighting with Christian Russians in Ukraine.
I think you haven't updated your ideas. Russia has multiple ethnicities and they all support Putin except for atlanticists, mafia types and people who think Putin is too soft on the west.
Yes, the west broke up the Soviet Union to destroy it. Most "satellite states" see that now. The west had to pour in billions to radicalise the nazis in Ukraine. 5bn and 25 years I believe. Victoria Nuland etc.. THe previous president befoore the colour revolution was Yanukovich and he is more or less pro Russian.
If you want communists to oppose, oppose the EU, the UN and the WHO
Holy shit. Another tankie.
Fuck all you Soviet apologists.
I really did not expect this place to be a commie Soviet hideout.
I'm anti communist.
He also said if you want don't miss the USSR you don't have a heart but if you want it back you don't have a brain.
He is an orthodox Christian not a Communist
Fuck Communism
The Giardian.
Soviet Ukraine
The people of Ukraine will not let that happen again.
Thankfully neither will Putin
