Hypocrisy implies something different like a level of failure or a mistake being made. Or maybe it implies that first definition that they are making a false moral claim which is partly true. This goes beyond that. The synonyms seem more appropriate... Deception, deceit, fraud.
I really think the best word to describe this is propaganda, but its true propaganda. Its like saying Trump is a master troll or a guru troll rather than a regular troll. This is a whole other level of propaganda. They don't even hide the lies yet some people believe it regardless. Its brainwashing? More like post brainwashing information updates. Maybe that's why the NPC meme is so appropriate.
We need better words. None of the normal ones do this justice.
