Not a lawyer, but sounds smart to me, by asking for a limited number they would only have a couple reasons to object. If he asked for 1500 docs, the court would say he’s just fishing. He can come back later and ask for pertinent docs for other cases.
Did you hear about the indictment that was opened and then criminals had already admitted guilt so there won’t be a trial just sentencing? It was about money no one I had heard of. The idea that sealed indictments contain confessions and admissions leading right to jail was encouraging for me.
