It doesn't make sense. Why did the Media hate both Bushes so much, if they were Clown affiliated?

Why did Reagan write his letter to Bush Sr. for the presidential transition that said "Don't let the Turkeys get you down" with 6 Turkeys standing atop an Elephant (Republican).

Why did the Clowns make sure to run Ross Perot to ensure Bush Sr's defeat in reelection? Why did the Media focus on Pee Wee Herman getting arrested instead of Bush Sr. dismantling the USSR in '91? Distraction?
