I have a series of sailing classes i will take over the next year. Next fall I will take the 6pac course so I can charter cruises. I figured I can work my way around the world chartering as long as things don't get much worse. Either way, bailing is a much easier option this way. Lol. Never thought about moving merchandise. Interesting. Lol.
I always wanted to disassemble 10-12 hogs reassemble in UK, Germany Sporter 688s 40k 1200s up to 75k. Mind you this was early 90 prices. 41' boat you could probably pack close to 20. It would be a tight run there, but quite a pay out on the other side.
I have my moments, when suddenly all things come into focus, a brilliant bright light suddenly illuminates all for me to see, and I'm blessed with glorious idea after idea, making all thing understood...
Anddd then there's the rest of the day....;-)
Sounds like you've got a plan, been dreaming bout it long have you ?
I knew quite a few in the 90s would do the atlantic loop, New York designer jewelry to UK, from UK to Sweden to pick up running tackle rollers furls Sweds made high quality expensive running gear, down to the sailing community in the Mediterranean from there to the canaries islands, anything valuable there then back to state side tru the Caribbean, up the east coast do it again.
If they pushed hard they could do the loop in about 6-8 month.
That was considered a safe loop.
Others scooted down to Africa for raw stones, and gems to bring back to NYC jewelry district.
Just pay off debt, cash for boat, keep day job while I go to school. Hairdresser only 4 days and self employed. Will cut to 3 when needed. After licensing, I'm sure I'll have more clear plans. Wsnt to be able to charter some.
So if this world become sane again, what's the business plan to finance the grand adventure?
Some people contact with government to release weather balloons current boues. Of lease boat for study expeditions
Others do Cruises package
Some move high value merchandise from port to port.
