Is this case really as big a deal as some are trying to make it? Sussman is charged with a single count of making a false statement to the FIB. The maximum penalty is only 4 years on this charge. I think anyone would gladly keep quiet and take their 4 years to avoid getting suicided.
Durham is making members of the Clinton squad pick which "story" they want to roll with, in a legally binding context. For example, the DNC and Clinton campaign already had to go on record w/the FEC that they had lied about payments to Fusion GPS being for legal consultation (when in fact it was to dig up fake dirt on Trump).
Now they are right back here in the Sussman trial claiming, again, that the Fusion GPS work was for legal services.
They can't have it both ways. There will be many more examples like this. Durham has them in a Catch 22 vice and will slowly continue to turn it. We may see a few head fakes with shitty cabal judges, but eventually this'll work it's way through the courts and the final truth will be revealed.
Durham is forcing them to be very clear and specific about their lie. They are having to go on record. This is why forcing people to define their terms is important.
Liars love to wriggle out of defining terms because if they define their terms and exact meaning and are specific they can be nailed to the wall with those walls. They prefer ambiguity and wriggle room.
They think they are escaping, they're being herded.
So how does this ideally play out? Im not really seeing the whole picture i guess. We've seen a three year build up for this case, all for a single charge, a charge that is only a minor felony with a max of 4 years.
To me thats not going to scare anyone into talking. What stops these guys from just taking a plea deal or just not saying anything at all and taking a guilty verdict to do their 4 years? Out in 2 on behavior, probably at some celebrity prison. Sounds like a cake walk.
Dominoes, frens. Dominoes fall one at a time.

Sussman is just a piece.

I guess i just dont see how this amounts to much.
Sussman is the smallest of small fries, why do you care if he gets a deal?
Keep in mind at the level Durham could be operating, even big figures like Clinton and Obama are just middle men.
