People keep getting this wrong, AF1 is not one specific aircraft! There are 28+ in the Presidential fleet and its callsign denotes who is on the aircraft at the time.
So if it was "Heels up" only it would be AF2, If China Joe was on one of the other aircraft from the fleet it would be AF1.
The same for families, they have there own callsign.
Now saying all of that, many many flights where China Joe has been onboard (whichever aircraft) they still didn't use AF1 as its callsign. Much fookery is afoot with the pair of them and flying on the Presidential fleet aircraft!
I remember the Trump flight to a rally and they didn't use the Air Force One callsign but used "Q0" instead. Q mentioned that the zero key on a phone is also a plus sign.
Interesting.

Thank you!
Oddly enough, it doesn't matter what plane Biden is on, the callsign is never AF1. It's almost like he isn't really president. :)
Yes it is very strange, only on a couple of occasions is the aircraft with the brown zone resident on labelled correctly. Others have argued they have heard ATC call AF1 and that's true at times, all very odd.
Has their been any "official" explanation for this? Why wouldnt the president be on the standard plane that presidents use? I would think even normies would find this odd enough to at least ask a question about it
But 'normie' means someone who never ask questions
When president Shitshispants went to Cincinnati last week to blabber on about additive manufacturing, the plane was a 757 not the more recognizable 747-200 (excuse me, VC-25A) that we associate with AF1. Not sure why he's traveling on the smaller plane now. I wonder if the cognitive decline is so severe that the extensive communication and warfighting command abilities of the 747 just aren't seen as needed anymore. I.e., as we suspect, someone else is running the country. Biden probably thinks "launch code" is a new flavor of ice cream at this point.
