I happen to love the chans, I'm just pointing out to folks that it is a lot more dangerous in there than it is in here, and it's becoming dangerous enough in here.
And everyone who goes in there should be very very careful, and they should also understand that for every nugget there is a hundred lies surrounding it attacking it, shilling for Evil, trolling for unsecured hacker avenues, disrupting, seeking weaknesses in everyone's posts, seeking identifying data or access to your personal data.
So I offer safety precautions to everyone going there- use a VPN, do not post until you understand the place well, never dox yourself because real war Enemies are there in force.
I keep telling people - VPN is neither a silver bullet nor actually safe.
When you access a shady website directly, they know where you are coming from. This needs to be balanced with accessing via VPNs where they not only know where you are coming from but also to every site you visit.
I personally believe that every VPN out there is a honeypot for the Cabal.
The only safe VPN is if you run one yourself on a provider who allows anonymous accounts and crypto payments. I use Vanwa tech, create an anonymous account, pay with crypto and use their server to run my own VPN. Even after all that, I still feel scared.
Yeah, everything is hackable, if you have 'Vault 7' Tools or other such rare abilities yeah, sure.
EVERYTHING can be hacked by those who know how and have the proper Tools and resources, sure.
But for most users it provides a large degree of separation between low level threats and their device. It won't stop the CIA or DS Enemy, it won't stop bill gates or serious foreign actors, but it stops the redditors and trans-kid amateurs.

It won't protect you from people who know what they're doing, no. It 'will' protect you from 95% of the yahoos out there who are amateur hackers tho.
Right now my machine lists me as 2000 miles away from my actual location. Bots and marketing trackers don't see me....
Unless, of course, the VPN provider gets "hacked" and sells all your data ...
