Perhaps because the plan is working well and the natural way to appear distant is to have your fringe helpers take sloppy cheap shots at her??? Trump is also into getting people to show their hands before it's advantageous for them to do so. Nothing calls out the party lines like an opportunity to jump on a cheap shot throwing band wagon... we still have six month until November... just look over the last 20 posts on here about this candidate.
..if Trump wanted to end this he would do what he did to McSwain and tell people not to vote for her and explain why... he's got a few days... right now is a rare moment in time to prove who everyone's frens are though and he never lets these go to waste.
"In her book, published in February 2020, Barnette even says Trump was last on her pick list in the 2016 GOP primary – meaning she liked former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich More.
“In all honesty, I wasn’t a Trumper to begin with,” Barnette wrote on page 33 of his book. “With the likes of former Governor Mike Huckabee, neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Senator Ted Cruz, there was no way on God’s Green Earth that I intended to vote for the TV mogul. and business. We simply had too many “good” options to vote for him. Out of sixteen presidential candidates, Donald Trump was number 16 on my favorite list.
As of the publication of this article, Barnette still has all of these tweets posted on her Twitter feed.
After a September 2015 debate, for example, Barnette said Trump “was awful.”
She also said in another tweet on September 26, 2015 that Trump would be “good 4 beers and BBQ”.
“BUT, not as president,” Barnette said of Trump, adding that “WE are so morally bankrupt” for even considering Trump.
Barnette also that day, when Barack Obama was still president, called Trump “JUST AS LIBERAL” as the “leaders we have now.” [have in] Office.”
She also said in another tweet that while she loves Trump, “he’s nothing more than HEADLINES” and with Trump there’s “very little substance.”
She also said that Trump’s “moral character is questionable” and that he is “boastful.”
When Dr. Ben Carson endorsed Trump in March 2016, Barnette tweeted that “there’s a real disconnect, for me” in Carson endorsing Trump over Cruz."
I watched the whole video of her ranting against BLM and Defund the Police, the only time she mentions white liberals:
Black people do not fall for the okey-doke. Do not fall for these white liberals who are coming into our communities and telling us we need to remove law enforcement. Because let me tell you they have the money to pay for private security. All of the elected officials, they have security. Our tax dollars pay for them to receive security. They're not walking around unprotected. You and I are. Black Lives Matter Global Network Incorporated does not care about my black life. It does not care about the black lives of those who are just trying to work, who are trying to provide for their family, who are keeping their nose clean, who just want to be able to take their black child across the street to the park with the rest of their black family. This is stupid...
Doesn't sound like she's shifting the blame, she's calling out the "wolves in sheep's clothing" that pretend to care about black lives.
I read on another site that ALL the people trying to torpedo her are Trump advisors and friends. I know Grenell is.
...I saw some of those articles...
...if the reverse psychology concept of Trump's endorsement of Oz is valid...
...and he is only doing so to call attention to Oz's negatives...
...why all this push back on Barnette?

I will pray that your observations prove to be prescient....
Have you seen this: https://redstate.com/jeffc/2022/05/11/no-kathy-barnette-did-not-support-black-lives-matter-riots-or-demonize-police-n563065
...she is getting beat up by Trump's cohorts...
...I can't make any sense of what Trump's intentions are...
Well, whatever you do, don't state anything question him or the new form of glowie will be on you... especially concerning oz/barnette.
..if Trump wanted to end this he would do what he did to McSwain and tell people not to vote for her and explain why... he's got a few days... right now is a rare moment in time to prove who everyone's frens are though and he never lets these go to waste.
Valid question.
...I wish I was just a wee bit brighter....
Ric has been pretty teflon to this point. This is a very interdasting move.
...the gloves are coming off....

To be fair, many people felt that way because we were stuck on the old paradigm of how politics are "supposed to be."
We now know that Trump was effective beyond what many could even fathom, and that is considering that the establishment was against him.
