His answer was that he has never asked God for forgiveness.
A man or woman who has never asked God for forgiveness, by definition, is not a Christian.
There is a word for those who claim to be Christians, but are not disciples of Jesus Christ. I will leave it as an exercise for the reader to discover what that word is, and what Christ has to say about those who fall into this classification.

That’s strange. What’s wrong with asking someone who professes to be a Christian whether they’ve engaged in Christian behavior?
The question was not "Have you engaged in Christian behavior".
Neither priests nor fake journalists are intermediaries only pretenders.
Trump isn't a contender for Mr. Perfect but as POTUS.
The question has never been asked of any other contender, I'm curious why, and it's form was accusatorial, putting him on the defense.
