FYI (and I admit this was like 20+ years ago so maybe tech has improved) We had a raccoon have babies in our attic. My stepmother found them. A family friend who is a bit of a spaz came over and she just had to try to pet one. She got bit. She freaked out. Animal control got involved. In order to test them for rabies they all had to be killed because the only way to know for sure an animal has rabies is to test brain tissue/fluid.

So I call bullshit on that third line that they swabbed it for rabies as well. Yeah, I guess its dead etc etc but they make it sound like its just a nasal swab like you are testing for the common cold.
