"As a black man, if the white man ain't free, then I know I'm not free". So much depth, wisdom and self-awareness in this statement, perfectly encapsulating the predicament we ALL face.
Reminds me of a deep conversation I had last year with a Muslim Pakistani immigrant taxi driver, when I explained how awakened Westerners don't care about Muslim extremists or Islamic terrorism in the slightest, but are instead much more concerned about our own governments, our state bureaucracies and our elites. Pretty sure the guy went home that night freaked out and unsettled.

He's right, white men do need to fix this. Our compassion and openness has been exploited for too long.
