Dang- 3 miles straight through is very impressive! I’m going to look into the alkaline diet. I have to do something. Thank you for the info
Meats, potatoes, wheat, and milk are acidic.
Vegetables, basmati rice, sweet potatoes, acorn squash, butternut squash, and pure lemon water helps us become more alkaline...and a good water source in the right ph balance. I eat these things a lot. There are good videos about how to make you water less acidic.
I also soak almonds in the frig for 3 days, changing out the water 2 times a day and soak turkish figs overnight in the frig. (I throw figs in my vegetable shakes that I make in my Vitamix or my Blendtec.) Soaking them takes the toxins off the outside of them.
One other thing I do is soak adzuki beans, mung beans, and anasazi beans for 3 days, changing the water and rinsing them 3 times a day, then cooking them, cooling them, and freezing thin layers of them in many freezer bags, stacked high in my freezer. That way it is easy to break off a piece and throw in the skillet, a soup, or the vegetable shake. Lots of upfront effort, but them I have a supply of them for 3 or 4 months.
I eat meat, too, but beans that have been soaked are another great way to get my protein. (I am highly allergic to the toxins on the outside of beans, but have zero issues if I soak them properly.)
Damn- meat, potatoes, and bread are basically all I eat. I think I will make my first step to be to eat more rice, vegetables and sweet potatoes. I can definitely do that. For the water- is the Brita filter good enough to get the additives out of it? I’ve always wondered how much good it actually does. Thank you so much for the info
I use a Berkey charcoal filter....much better. They don't cost that much. Just in case they attack our water sources along with our food sources, I keep extra filters. They will clean 99.9% of the dangerous things out of dirty water, even.
Then chopping up lemons to soak in the water helps our alkalinity, too. Seems like the opposite should be true, but it is not.
Okay I will look on Amazon for one! The lemon water is a small, simple change I can make. Thank you again ❤️
