100%, the angle makes it impossible that he was hit by one of those first bullets. It does look like the shooter shot at him while he was down though.
Two possibilities:
it was staged with blanks, and he is an actor. He knew he was supposed to fall down, so he did, he just had his timing off a little.
he heard shots, so he decided to drop and pretend like he got hit, thinking maybe the shooter would move on thinking he was already shot.
Anyone should turn around and run if they saw someone starting shooting.
