That 49.3% were probably the 'obvious' bot accounts, found via parsing scripts and pattern recognition. That's not counting people's secondary and tertiary accounts, sock puppets, etc. That would take more human work and programming to sift through, comparing writing styles and IP addresses and the like. Our IT wizard at my night job suspects it's closer to 75-80% bot and duplicate accounts.
