Man, you ever notice going back that MASH the show was just one giant piece of communist propaganda?
Hawkeye was always critical of the US and supportive of commie forces.
It's funny, because all sides were played by the Globalist Uniparty.
It was also low key homo propaganda too, and I'm fairly sure they wrote BJ and Hawkeye as closeted gay men.
No wonder the original MASH book writer (and inspiration for Hawkeye), Dr. Richard Hornberger added a line in one of the sequel books about Hawkeye beating the shit out of lefties just to keep in shape.
Yeah, we noticed. My dad hated the show. My mom loved it. Us kids liked it for many different reasons.
All through it had the slacker, beatnik undertones, communist too. Frank was actually one of the most upright characters, but had all the character flaws to punch at religion and patriotism.
Incidentally, according to interviews, Larry Lindville was one of the most liked actors on the set, and had a good work ethic.
Too many reasons to both love and hate the series to go into here, but yeah, definitely a hit piece against good guys.
BTW, they remastered it at 1080p and released it on prime or Hulu, I forget which. We did watch it, like seeing a whole new show. They added deleted scenes back into almost every episode.
Fuck, sorry dude. If it helps, I only know all this shit because I've seen the entire series and also used to watch it religiously with my veteran dad.
Pick up the original book if you can though. Much more authentic hearing about it from the guy that actually did meatball surgery in Korea than a Burlesque performer's kid who had a political axe to grind two decades later.

In just 5 sentences you destroyed my childhood memories of watching MASH with my veteran dad. 😢
I still gave you an updoot though.

You're good Fren. My dad is a jabbed normie and doesn't believe anything awakening related.
I appreciate your perspective and analysis, it might come in handy as / if he starts to wake up.
My old man's too far gone in that regard. Can't teach an old dog new tricks, so I ain't gonna ruin MASH for him.
I feel you!
