Look it's really simple.

Children have dads so they won't be wimps.

They have moms do they won't be dead.

Dad: "c'mon sweetie/buddy, I know you fell off your bike and skinned your knee, but you gotta just get back up on the seat and keep riding. Here, I'll help ya..."

Mom: "look Bob, I know uncle Ted is an explosive ordnance expert, but I don't think letting the kids play with C-4 is very safe, even if it IS 4th of July weekend"

I think some husbands have wives so we won't be dead too..
