It's a little difficult to tell nowadays. In trying to research the validity, I'm running into the full range, from yes, they do have their own police to no, they don't (from "the usual suspects"). I've even tried looking at some of the French and German language sources (however rudimentary my grasp of those languages is), but am not seeing definitive verification either way (nor do I know the validity of those sources). One other version that's popping up is that certain Swiss police are authorized to cover the WEF for their yearly coven meeting and these individuals wear the unique patch in question - which is in line with what you've heard. There's some interesting information to be gleaned from reading through some of the various articles (inre surveillance) and listening to the podcasts on the topic if you're interested.
I can’t say 100% what I saw or read that the police apply the patches when working for the WEF. It is possible I am wrong.
