Hate that there is so much Kemp support in GA. He will never beat Abrams this fall and GA will be condemned to be run by corrupt Dems - maybe forever. GA was one of my all-time favorite states. So sad. Maga was just not strong enough to overcome corrupt Rep. AND Dems.

You know what? This is a shitty post. We don’t need your pity. I’ve said this before, perhaps even to you…God has a plan that even the great patriots of Georgia can’t rightly know or understand. It’s not over till the fat lady sings, bub. Unless you have a crystal ball, you don’t know either. If Kemp gets the nomination, he has every chance of beating SA because patriots will vote against her en mass.
Ah yes the ole, "When everything goes so horribly wrong it's cause god has a plan" cope. Children have cancer? It's okay, god has a plan. Kennedy being assassinated? Not to worry, all part of god's. Oh your child was abducted? No problem, god's plan.
I grew up with this excuse for inaction and I'm more inclined to believe it's a thought process generated by the cabal to excuse believers and their complacency. God gave us free will and that isn't limited in something as juvenile as whether or not we choose to believe. No, it's something much more complex than that. God's plan was very likely allowing man to figure it out in their own and we've done a pretty shit job all around. Maybe instead of coping with "I trust this plan" you should be asking for guidance on how to thwart theirs.
My faith in the divine has not superseded my actions…or lack of. Somewhere in this thread I posted a list of my actions. But I get what you’re saying.
Thanks for listening and being reasonable. And thanks for trying to set a good example. My replies aren't necessarily directed at you as much as it is to speak in front of the entire class.
Great comment, especially the last part. Free will means that we are responsible for our actions, thoughts and impulses and the consequences thereof. Of course there are circumstances we can't change, that we were born into, because we've been dealt a bad hand due to karma from previous lives. The rest is literally up to us, we are just too close-minded to see that 99% of our problems are self-inflicted. We seek external reasons for this or that problem, for each ache and disease, mental illness, money troubles etc. because we believe our thoughts & feelings are private and separate from "reality" and can't influence "real life".
Pro tip: There are no previous lives.
You disagree with such certainty, what do you base that on? It certainly can't be personal experience. Being reborn isn't just a buddhistic or hinduistic idea. It's at the root of Christianity too and it is as real as karma.
