Yeah, this didn't age well. He was a US citizen and legally purchased two AR-15s.

Good on you. Better to own up to being wrong then to cover it up. I mean, on an anonymous online forum there aren't really any meaningful consequences either way, but if you can own it here, it's good practice for when it counts in real life.
