With the exception of the Jeep, all of these cars are Oriental (Japanese or Korean). Maybe they appeal to Oriental drivers. Stereotypes exist for a reason.

My brother lives in Northern VA and has a 15-20 min commute (really short for that trafficky region). He says that just in his neighborhood, there’s a multi-vehicle collision at least once a week, and almost all of the time, both drivers are nonwhite. Usually foreigners.

Maybe it’s the light weight of the imports that make them nippy, and the small volume makes people overconfident of getting them into shrinking spaces
