I'm not saying asking questions is stupid. Just how we keep making memes quoting cold hard numbers that have nothing to back them up.
First it's a 40 thousand dollar truck, then it's a 50 thousand dollar truck, now it's 70 thousand. Not even 24 hours later it comes up that it isn't even his truck.
I'm not a fan of sharing things that can be easily bunked, and hurt our reputation.
The truck is a stupid talking point it doesn't matter. What's relevant is why and how did a kid has a $1000 optic on a Daniel defense rifle. Even the most fervent firearm enthusiasts are hard pressed to drop the capital it costs to obtain "bomb proof" government contract equipment like that.
If you want a disclaimer for fucking twitter I have no idea if DD or eotech is under government contract or not. What I can tell you it is top of the line. Unless you are dropping out of helicopters there's absolutely no reason to go with that level of equipment.
The buffalo shooter had sordins. I'm not going to let you nit pick what model is exactly $657 or $567 because it doesn't matter. The truck is a red herring. Minute details about prices are pointless. There's no damn reason for him to have sordins unless he's communicating with someone.
These shooters have advanced equipment that only the most hardcore of LARPers would even bother entertaining their use. Given their age, the kit, and the cost it suggests they are being supplied by an organization. By whom and to what end is the question.
It's a confusing situation. We're all trying to figure out what exactly happened. I was surprised this morning when I heard there was no school resource officer present. The fact this kid made threats before and was on the FBI's radar isn't suprising. There's a lot of information that isn't adding up/leading to a lot more questions. I just heard the cops were chasing him when he crashed into a ditch by the school, so the police just let him waltz in the school WHILE they were pursuing him? This whole thing reeks of police involvement.

Thanks, you are right. It's so easy to get caught up in all this stuff and it doesn't help anything.
