"AR-15 style rifle" Why can't they say what the rifle was instead of what it reminds them of.

And It would be nice to have a picture of the dead shooter and a list of his previous crimes. Since he had a list of previous crimes then I'm sure he didn't have the gun legally. The article just says that it hasn't been ascertained yet.
