Do you by chance live in/very near to a major city, essentially state capital or 1 million+ pop, because that's who's getting confiscated the first day. Past getting hit the first day, I don't think going to work is going to be a big concern.

That said try going to USCCA.. they have insurance plans that cover red flag losses.. comes under the heading of carry insurance.. they are honest about the plans as they also have a comparative chart showing how all the different providers stack up and what events they cover... if you have property you might also consider caching a few pieces (and ammo)... pvc pipes work well and a food vacuum sealer can be used to provide extra moisture protection...
