One of the few things cops do well, IMO. And one of my pet peeves.

I don't care if you're drunk, high on crack, just smoked a bowl of radioactive weed and injected the best heroine money can buy. What you do in the privacy of your own home, to your own body, should be your and your family's business. Shouldn't be illegal either (ingestion of whatever the hell you want). Smoke DMT, take LSD, drink Cobalt 60 laced with dog poop. You do you.

But don't be stupid and try to drive a car, boat, semi, motorcyelcle, ATV, etc.

Get on a bicycle or horse, or take a bus or ubyr, or fucking hanglide. I don't care.

I went through a period of time where all I wanted to do was escape (goes with the job) and I was total drunken lush not worth a damn to anyone. Even then I knew better than to drive. When I kill someone it's because they've been weighed, numbered and found wanting. Not because I drunkenly drove a Ford F-350 tank over them and their toddler.

Just. Don't. It's not worth it. To anyone.
