OK, but why was losing necessary? Why not accomplish all the other stuff we accomplished and actually get the conviction? Stop making excuses.
Sussman and FBI are on opposing ends. If Sussman lied and mislead FBI then FBI can argue that their actions were bening. If, however, Sussman did not lie but conspired with FBI then FBI will be on the hook.
Why did Durham pick this one count of lying and make it his first trial ?
Because Sussman was not his target, rather FBI. He established that FBI went along with the conspiracy. If you stop dooming and actually think about this, you will realise that the only way the Cabal would have won this was if the case demolished any claims of any wrong doing by anyone other than Sussman. The result was opposite.
My hope is that this loss is camoflauge for something else happening concurrently. That happened before.
