It was also less Sussman concealing his connection to Clinton that affected the FBI investigation than the top of the FBI concealing from their underlings that Sussman was the source that affected it. The prosecution was sort of hopscotching there, trying to blame Sussman for what they did, as if they had no clue who he was or who he was working for.
