and it's because they're searching for that one gotcha moment where they will be proven right, but there's none forthcoming.

Hilariously ironic because theyre discussing how we keep having gotcha moments. So close to the truth but too brainwashed to see it. Like theyre flying past the sun and genuinely wondering why theyre on fire
