Coal generates ~22% of electricity in the US. It’s much lower or higher in some places. There’s plenty of cons to using electric vehicles so there’s no reason to lie or mislead people with this idea that everyone is getting their electricity from coal power plants
that's a lower end estimate....easily could be 1/3. and regardless of the actual percentage, it's reasonable in this thread to say 22% to 1/3 of all electric car power comes from coal.
