Even little ol' me has 263 saves, seeming from right when I joined in Jan 2021. Would DS agents be using Wayback machine, though? Wouldn't they have their own servers for saving this and not have to rely on a non-profit .org?

I joined officially around then and I have 530 saves. Some days show larger circles which I assume means multiple people archived?

Yep, the larger the circle, the more people saved it.

I have looked at my large circles & can't figure out why so many would choose some specific days to archive. Interesting to say the least.

It means multiple saves on that day. Could be one person or bot saving repeatedly, or multiple people and/or bots. No way for us to know.
