Just thinking tonight, why wasn't I one of the ones who fell for the BS shot? My whole family are Christians, but every single one of them fell for it.
Why did God give me discernment and not them? Is there some sort of purpose behind this?
Wondering if anyone has some sort of commentary towards this, because I definitely do not feel worthy or special in any way. In fact, they are way better people than I am.
Who knows. This war is fascinating and all I can do is trust in God. Because I sure as hell do not trust anything else anymore.
Respectfully I have to disagree with the idea that God “uses people” - even those who hate Him - to punish His people. The character of God is that He loves, and desires communion with, His creation. His battle is not with us - Ephesians 6:12 tells us: “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Mankind is caught in the middle of a battle between the spiritual forces of good and evil - God and Satan. Many still don’t understand and Satan wants to keep it that way. God is Love and wants all to come to Him. “ . . . I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, WHO DESIRES ALL MANKIND TO BE SAVED AND COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man CHRIST JESUS, WHO GAVE HIMSELF AS A RANSOM FOR ALL” 1 Timothy 2:1-6
Don’t blame God for mankind’s delusion. We are given free will, and we choose over and over again not to listen to God, but to be persuaded by greed, pride, arrogance and hate. Yet He still gave Himself, to ransom us, so that evil cannot have power over us and will be defeated. That’s LOVE - not punishment.
