They want to disarm you so you can't do to them that which they want to do to you.

They want you/us to be defenseless stting ducks that can easily be controlled and/or taken out if, when and however they choose.

An armed populace is the reason we're not in the dire straights Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other countries are in.
