Making life is genesis.

Immortality is how your spirit (morals/consciousness) can transfer to your children, who then transfer that same/similar spirit to their children, forever. That's what the Abrahamic lineage tries to show, that's why the lineage is important. It shows how this spirit passes through all of those people, it shows that while "our" body is eventually disposable, "our" higher self (consciousness) is or can be immortal, thru genesis.
