Exactly. My little sister was the life of the party, fun, athletic, no shortage of boyfriends....until as a latchkey kid in the 7th grade, a teacher took a shine to her. I'm sure to my overworked mother it was helpful to have another "responsible" adult drive her to and from games. But next thing you know she's a raging alcoholic in college and dating girls.
