But then, you also lose out on potential talent, and meeting a bar you set for yourself.

That's why this problem has an easy solution.

We throw all of the trans people into one category, regardless of base sex and destination gender, we can call it the Alphabet Olympics.

Then we can see them scurry and see if the male sex comes out on top, or female sexes do.
