My wife and I quit watching TV. Been quite happy. We tuned into a Harry Potter movie for some "background noise" last week on Directv and I was shocked to watch the non-stop "ask you doctor" ads permeating the movie channel we were watching. Shingles, hepatitis, vaccines, pills, injections for everything bad that is happening to you at the moment. One after the other, over and over every break. My take away was that drug companies should not be allowed to spew propaganda at us like this. Doctors should prescribe what they feel is correct for their patients, physically and economically. Not what some slick advertisement tells their patients they have to ask for.
