That's what I don't understand. Yes we all do some dumb things as kids but this a whole other level. Even if the trans thing was big when I was in middle/high school I can't in a million years ever imagining myself making a permanent mutilation to my body based on peer pressure. Hell, I won't get a tattoo even though it's constantly pushed in society.

Being a dumb kind is only a part of the story I believe. There's definitely some level of pure insanity at play here.
