Vernon Jones is a different person. Vernon is a former Dem state politician from Georgia who switched parties (and supposedly, supports Trump).
Van Jones is a CNN contributor who was previously in the Obama administration.

Your original point is still valid (though for different reasons). Questions have been raised about the legitimacy of Vernon’s support of Trump and whether he jumped ship from the Dem party for sincere reasons. I hope it’s all unfounded, but seriously who tf knows about anyone at this point. Too much fuckery going on.
