Looked at this - the "actions" tab says - 'introduced into house' on 2/9/17 but then nothing. Is it still just sitting out there but on the bottom of a stack? Does it mean 'timed out due to inactivity'? or does it mean 'dead as long as Queen Nancy is in office'?
I went through that too and couldn't find any follow up info, and when researching King, it appears he is no longer in office. I don't know what happens to a bill if the sponsor isn't in office. But it's obvious with Pelosi as speaker, it would never make it to a vote. The question is, if Republicans take back house, could this bill actually be brought up for a vote?
IIRC, Paul Ryan was speaker on that date. And, bills die at the end of each Congress - every two years.
