This type of correlation should stop the gun grabbers in their tracks. Isn't that so?

The big difference between us an left thinkers seems to be

What will practically reduce gun crime according to statistics.
What should reduce gun crime according to a set of assumptions, regardless of evidence.

Assumptions being:

*Weapons can be recovered from criminals *Governments will not abuse the asymmetry of power afforded to them by the disarming of the population. (At least not this time)
