I was born in 89 and lived in Colorado until 2011...got the phone call my grandma passed so packed what I could and headed 600 miles to a dirt road in Kansas to take care of my grandpa with muscular dystrophy. Still here, best decision I ever made.

I love the Colorado that I left, but it doesn't exist anymore...and by that time it was already very far from perfect. At least I got to have a childhood that wasn't completely fucked tho - grew up in a 4 story suburban home (thornton) that was under 800 a month. Rent was never raised for the decade or so we stayed there. Only roof you're getting over your head for that price now is a fuckin motel.
