When I was a kid, I remember I prayed really strongly to get sick so I wouldn't have to go to school the next day, and sure enough I got sick the next morning and got to miss school...but realized it would have been better to just go to school and not have to deal with being sick.

I like to think the lord taught me a lesson that day.
